SCHAKO Newsletter Dezember 4, 2008

Dear Sir and Madam,

Many engineers and technicians use the SCHAKO design programme for a detailed computation of a specific product type during the planning phase of a project. Since our current programme was launched last autumn, we have undertaken a range of enhancements and additions to the programme.
This makes your work even easier while also offering you even more benefits. You can find the new version at www.schako.com in the “Service” area or simply click on the direct link to the left.

Integrated comfort calculator

SCHAKO has integrated a comfort calculator based on
DIN EN ISO 7730 into the new software version.

A room as either more or less “comfortable” for the people who are in it. The air temperature, humidity and air speed (“draught“),
as well as one’s own activity and the temperature of the enclosing wall area all decide how comfortable a room is. What is commonly referred to as thermal comfort is specified by two parameters,
the Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) and the Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied (PPD).

The comfort calculator in the SCHAKO design programme 2008.11.27 quickly and easily determines a room’s thermal comfort conditions during the planning phase, thereby ensuring that it is perceived as comfortable and acceptable later.

Further important innovations

Real mail function

The new version now includes a real mail function, which allows you to print and send your calculations as a PDF.

Air-water systems

The new database also includes the SCHAKO air-water systems. In particular, the ceiling induction diffusers DISA are now available for your planning.

Air outlets

Previously, air outlets were only available in a separate design programme. Now we have integrated several into the new programme version.

Silencers

Here too, SCHAKO has completed its portfolio and also expanded the maximum length of splitter silencers
to 3,000 mm.

We wish you the best of success for your planning.
Please feel free to contact us with any comments or suggestions for improvements you may have.

Best regards,
