Dear,

SCHAKO offers an extensive range of products for controlling variable or constant air flow rates in ventilation and air-conditioning systems. The sound-damped volumetric flow controller models Piano/Piano-S can be used with a static pressure difference of just 20 Pa, i.e. the duct network and the fan can be configured for low air velocities and the Piano/Piano-S is suitable for low-pressure systems. When installed in VAV systems, this sound-damped volumetric flow controller is capable of controlling variable air volumes from vmin to vmax according to the supply air temperature.

Sound-damped volumetric flow controller
Piano

Same performance yet half the size

When we developed Piano and Piano-S, our new volumetric flow controller models, our aim was to halve their overall height without forfeiting any of the performance. Compared to controllers with 90° damper blades, they have a much larger clear flow cross-section. This maximum possible clear cross-section has enabled SCHAKO to reduce pressure loss and minimise flow noise at contractions.
Regardless of the space available for mounting, the specially prepared rectangular plenum box allows easy connection of the Piano or Piano-S volumetric flow controller either to rectangular ducts or with an adapter to spiral ducts.

Piano highlights at a glance:

  • Very small dimensions simplify installation and save space. Also suitable for mounting in intermediate ceilings, where every inch counts.
  • Optimum sound values despite the compact design.
  • Larger clear flow cross-section than with 90° damper blades.
  • Controllers are preset at the factory—no need for complicated adjustments on the construction site.
  • Suitable for a static pressure difference of just 20 Pa, enabling the duct network to be configured for low air velocities.
  • Optimum aerodynamic flow characteristics, so that no inflow or outflow paths are necessary.
