Dear Sir and Madam, We would like to draw your attention to the KOMES bus system in this November issue of the SCHAKO Newsletter. This system emphatically underlines our expertise when it comes to fire protection and building management systems. Since its original market launch ten years ago, the KOMES bus system has been regularly enhanced in an ongoing improvement process and is meanwhile installed in more than 400 SCHAKO customer plants. The new generation is designed as a 19" slide-in module that integrates easily into an existing cabinet. It requires less wiring than other system solutions and significantly reduces the fire load in buildings. We invite you to discover more about KOMES and find out how it cuts the costs for building owners.

KOMES bus system in 19" designThe system solution that cuts down on wiringAll limit switches and 24 V DC actuators (type: Belimo ELD) in the KOMES system can be connected over a bus cable in a line or ring topology. Power is supplied to the actuators via the bus cable. The system can be installed as an economical stand-alone solution. Alternatively, it can be integrated in a higher-level building management system by means of an EIB data output, the relay card or LON coupler input and output modules. KOMES speeds up the visualisation of alarms by refreshing the screen to show error messages in plain text. Limit switch positions, failures and maintenance times can be logged and printed out. Limit switch addresses and groups can be changed at any time using KOMES-PC. KOMES is also available from SCHAKO as an all-in package solution that includes the connection of bus cables pre-laid by the customer as well as a complete cabinet. Interface problems due to incompatibilities between electrical installation firms are thus a thing of the past.
